Our new exhibit, Mayhem on the Interurban, opens on Wednesday, October 24th!
The museum's front lobby has a wheelchair accessible entry on the South wall that staff can open for any visitor.
To enter the main exhibit hall visitors must pass through a 33-inch wide brick doorway. The interactive electricity room is also limited by its original brick structure, requiring visitors to pass through a 23-inch wide brick doorway.
Visitors must ascend a short staircase to tour inside of Historic Car 360. There is a video tour of Car 360 available inside the museum.
All ADA-recognized service animals are welcome in the museum.
The museum is accessible via DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) rail: Take the Red Line to Downtown Plano Station. From the Downtown Plano Station walk west across the parking lot and into Haggard Park, the museum is the green and brick building on the left.
Our efforts to make the Interurban Railway Museum as welcoming as possible to all visitors are ongoing. If you have any special needs that are not mentioned above, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 972-941-2117.
