Starting April 8th, please join us every Friday morning for story time held at the Interurban Railway Museum located at 901 E. 15th Street, Plano, TX 75074. The story time begins at 11:00 a.m.
The program is geared toward pre-school age children and runs approximately 30 minutes. This special event is followed by a tour of the museum, complete with an O-scale train layout. Weather permitting, the experience includes a tour of Car#360, an historic Texas Electric Railway car.
Please note that all children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or caretaker. The museum has no admission charge, but donations are greatly appreciated to support the programs offered. We request reservations for groups of five or more in order that a memorable experience can be enjoyed by all.
Texas has a long, romantic history when it comes to railroads. But even though steam engines and streetcars offer nonstop service to Nostalgia City, there’s a dark side to Texas rail.
Jeff Campbell and the staff of the Interurban Railway Museum cross the Lone Star State on trains derailed by murder and mayhem.
