Home Runs & Heartaches illustrates the story of baseball as it crossed paths with the railway system. Train passengers and baseball fans became synonymous as the Texas Electric Railways system made travel to the games cheap and accessible.
We have completely re-written our Plano History exhibit to include Native American history in the area, and to bring the timeline up to the population boom that Plano experienced after the 1960's.

The Interurban Railway Museum, operated by the Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation, Inc. and owned by the City of Plano, is a FREE history museum featuring interactive exhibits on electricity, science, and the history of the City of Plano and the Texas Electric Railway.
We also offer guided tours through Historic Car 360!
